The RIV inspection form is on the Ministry website.
When I talked to Canadian Tire they said they would have a problem if it was obvious that safety equipment like airbags and seat belts had been removed or weren't functioning. But they don't do much more than look at the car and check for warning lights.

So if the cage will allow me to reinstall stock seat belts and throw a non functioning airbag steering wheel it should be fine then. I will have to find local shop that is understanding of my plans with the car and see what they say
