I'm late to the party, but I've taken quite a liking to Twitter. I follow the usual gaggle of celebs, auto journos and race car drivers.
Some of the "less" famous respond to tweets but most famous people, with huge followings, don't.
I follow Jerry Seinfeld. Not because I was a fan of his show. In fact, I never liked his show. More so because he's a Porsche nut like the rest of us. As a matter of course, I asked him for his thoughts on the new 991.
As usual, I didn't expect an answer. I got a shock when my iPhone lit up with "Jerry Seinfeld replied to you".
He said he thought it was awesome.
That's it. Nothing more.
Either way, it brought a smile to my face and made the train journey home memorable.
Maybe there's something in this social media thing after all.

Like you said, it makes your day when somebody with a celeb status replies... I've had a couple of "made my day" moments thanks to Chris Harris, Patrick Long, and Bryan Sellers replying to me. Bryan Sellers actually hosted a twitter contest which I won, and he sent me a bunch of free swag! Great guy.
I don't "tweet" often but when I do it's almost always Porsche-related... @jonathanjbrooks

Better late than never. For those that don't understand, give it time and start subscribing. Really cool way to find out instantainiously about news events before it hits the news. Remember Osama? Maybe he should have been a follower of the guy who was tweeting.
