I dig Excellence. I usually read it cover to cover, including the ads. Why? Cool feature
and tech articles, interesting reader's questions/comments, buyer guides, classifieds....
This reminds me, I should renew.

I'll be switching from paper mags to electronic versions. The cost of most international Porsche mags is outrageous. Let's be honest, the UK are the best. But $14 per cover?

iPad versions are $4.99 and embed video of road tests. Way better. I do find that most of the mags repeat the same story month-over-month.

I like EVO and Total 911.

I have not invested in a tablet yet, saving my pennies for the 997

I agree that electronic is the way to go, especially with the advent of the iPad so you can still read on the can...lol. I am a big fan of Excellence.

Excellence
it is very inexpensive when you subscribe and has some great pics.
only problem is they send you the october issue in august.
great articles; reviews, tech articles, enthusiast stories about their cars.

Provinz Magazine.

Turbodan said the photo editor is really good.

Nov Issue, Porsche World Roadshow, and ALMS pictures
Go find those in other Porsche magazines.

Excellence is the only non-iPad mag I still get. Total 911, GT Porsche, EVO are on the iPad.

lots of the english magazines are really pricy and they tend to use british english (which is cool but sometimes I just dont follow what they are trying to say) and lots of right hand drive reviews. plus they take a bit longer to mail them out.

I used to get bmw car and i loved it, lots of reading which was nice but the price of the mag was unreal
I did however love the print quality and call me old fassion but I just love the feel and smell of good old paper and ink. I get so excited when the new one arrives. I think Im going to order a couple mag subscriptions this month. Maybe I will also look into a tablet

so far it seem everone loves the excellence mag

what would be the second choice?

Excellence is the only mag that makes financial sense to subscribe to since it's "local". The UK mags are much better, but the associated costs to subscribe make it almost cheaper to buy them off the rack at Chapters/Indigo. I buy 911&Porsche World every month as it is my favourite by far, and sometimes pick up Classic Porsche by the same publisher if the content is good. Of course, I subscribe to Excellence too.
