Correct, as far as I can tell.

According to circulating rumors (from some folks from Quebec, who read it on the internet), full resurface...

That's phenomenal if true.

Absolutely. Turn 5 almost requires off-road tires...

If they were going to resurface the whole track, I think they would be better to close it for the month of July. On that basis, I don't see them doing it in this coming year.

Personally, I just have my fingers crossed for flat pavement in the paddock and better washrooms with drinking water!

Washroom for frequent shorts changing after diving in through turn 3. Ever watch the vintage racers with the mini's? They don't even lift off the throttle! Talk about commitment. It is right up there with a pigs commitment to breakfast !

I have a few friends that are pretty close to the track management and a repave is not in the cards at this time. It's more around access to the pits, hospitality buildings and cleaning up some safety issues. That's still a huge step up for Mosport and will start to close the gap to fantastic tracks like Calabogie.

Tell me about it...didn't think too much about it on 4 wheels, but on 2, the suspension gets pretty unsettled as you slice across those concrete patchjobs in some corners.

Exactly.

They cut through on an angle right about where the old tunnel was and now the new Mosport entrance will be just past the little registration building on the outside of the track and between the old entrance (gate 3). The entrance that everyone was used to in the past is closed up now. There is a road being built straight across the field that splits left and up over the back of corner 10 to where the new admin building will be and the other part of the split goes slightly to the right and under the track where the old tunnel was. The difference is that the new tunnel is two lanes and high enough for rigs to fit through. The new road follows that natural valley that will run around to the lower paddock.
