Hey Tim, I didn't see you at the FChat drive. I waved to you coming in but didn't see you for the rest of the day. I was driving the less athletic twin car to yours. I was 6 cars from the front of the lead pack.

Saturn says last year's route is loaded with interruptions - lots of police and close roads due to the marathon.

Should we ditch that route and go with his new one? It does NOT involve a stop at Brock's monument, which would be a break with our rennlist tradition.

since it's not P-car exclusive, sharing trade secrets is probably frowned upon anyway!!! try the new route.

Just to add to Chris's info:

The issue is ONLY for this weekend 23rd due to the Marathon.
The Rennlist route was pre drove last sunday with the aforementioned delays.
There was police presence enroute and the mentioned delay on the Parkway as per Torontoworker.

This will not affect your 30th exclusive drive. You guys should continue as per planned.

So doing a different route this Sun Oct 23 does not really matter since its an open marquis drive.
As Sultan mentioned it is not P-car exclusive so us non P-car do not count.

Kidding aside (I was cool with above) the new route will take us away from the ruckus at Niagara Fall this coming weekend and we will enjoy a nice drive with lots of twisties and up and downs.

Bring on the "Nürburgring"

I will be coming from Markham that morning if anyone is interested in getting down as a group.

Depending on my boy's hockey schedule on Sunday the 23rd, we may join.

Pls send me the route map. Not on Facebook.

Also, if you are looking for another route, we did one last weekend with another group. Started Morriston and ended in Hamilton. Nice route - but was short at 65k. Let me know if you want that map and Ill dig it up.

Ok, based on lack of feedback, I'm making an executive decision:

Oct. 23 we go with Saturn's route and Oct. 30 we leave it the same as last year's drive.

Oct. 23 is open, Oct. 30 is Porsches only.

Long term forecast calls for very little rain and fairly average temperatures, so both days should be a go.
