OT, GTA RL Texas Hold'em Poker night
Thinking of organizing a poker night event, tournament style. 50% of the pot size will go to charities of our choice and any money that I win from this event will go towards charities as well. I've come in first & fifth in big tourneys before , but have not played in a while.
$50 buy-in
Minimum 10 players
Date: Oct. 29 @7pm
Where: Keele/Teston (Maple)
Based on 10 players,
1st place winner: $150
2nd place winner: $100
I will provide pizza, donuts and drinks. Please respond here if you are interested.
1) Tim
2) Zookie
3) TurboS
4) PorscheOnut
5) Rally Guy (maybe)
6) 416-997-911 (maybe)
7) Sultan
8) Zab

Friday night boys playing poker for quarters, drinking beer, watching a hockey game might attract more participants, IMO.
Zookie, did you just think "strippers too"?

LOL, I'm no pro Stan, I've lost more than what I've won . Just wanted to organize some sort of event to help out the charities. If I win, all will go to charities not half.

I'm just throwing out the numbers, all suggestions are welcome. It would be nice for some of us to get together for a poker night other than the usual car stuff, putting names to faces. I will not take a penny home and there's no need for me to do so. Besides, the donations will not be made under my name.

I was planning to use my buddy's rec room in Richmond Hill and still awaiting his confirmation. I also planned to provide drinks and pizza for everyone.
Anyhow, to avoid the confusion I'm no longer interested in organizing it and it's a no go .

It's my b-day weekend, I'm just gonna spend it with my family and a few close friends instead.
Can someone PLEASE organize it? I will still pay for the buy-in at whatever you guys set it at. I know a few of us can not make a difference but at least we're giving. Christmas season is just around the corner, it may not mean a lot to us but it will to others.
LOL Eshel, a happy wife means a happy life. We can always go for a nice dinner instead...
