MaxJax finally installed, Boxster up!
I ended up taking a couple hours this evening to move and reinstall the garage door over to the side of the door. According to the Chamberlain manual for my opener that I found on line, the opener can be installed up to 4' off center to clear different obstructions....
excuse the mess in the garage.
I've got loads of clearance now with the boxster, even with the door full up. With the Jetta, it might be close, but I can also set the door to come up only about 6' (gives me enough clearance for walking in and out at 5'10"). With the CRV, I may only be able to raise the vehicle to the full height with the door closed, or mostly closed, depending on if I back it in the garage or not.
larger pics can be found by clicking the images here.

Its been a long saga! Good to see it up and in use. Looks compact enough that it is making me think of one...
Now clean up your work area, paint the floor, and get a tv setup out there, and you'll be set for the winter in the "man cave"

tv. $30 on Kijiji, hooked up to Shaw Direct Satellite
contemplating painting the floor, and finishing the walls, but no $$ right now. Plus I snowmobile in the winter, and not sure how floor coverings will like dual carbide skiis.

i plan to leave both columns up from March to November.... I will remove the driverside column in the pic for the winter months.
The Pcar parks in the middle bay for the fairweather months, and when I don't pull up all the way between the lift, I can pretty much open the doors to the middle detent. As u see it in the pic, there is probably 3' between the rear of the boxster and the garage door.
The position of the posts doesn't seem to affect the parking of my wife's CRV. Of course, I need to tidy up her bay so she can get the car back in.
Next, I will probably get some longer hoses made, and run it up the column to the ceiling, and put the pump by the passengerside lift.
