There was a modded red GT R at TMP last Friday with apparently 600 hp, he lasted all of Three Laps, till everything overheated. At the end of the day his
steering rack broke, the steering wheel would not lock into place, giving a whole new meaning to Adaptive Steering. So for about 3 laps he was quick, then he wasn't.

TINS!

I actually have first hand experience with bone stock gtr, drove it for a 30 min session at Dunnville, pushed it pushed it and car was just excellent!

mind you, you dont need much of skillset to go fast in gtr, it does everything for ya.

and it lasted fine with 5 hours of lapping without any issues. maybe it's because it was bone stock I dont know.

I drove one on the press launch on a track just outside reno. I'm a competent amateur driver and can extract 8-9/10th out of most cars. But then I got a ride around the track with Steve Millen and I can tell you that in the hands of a true pro the GT-R is just insane! Though he was fighting understeer big time.

It's an incredible piece of engineering...too bad it rides so bloody stiffly. Makes a GT3 feel like a Cadillac!

Same with the NSX's. One owner, who blew his to an estimated 380bhp from the stock 280, told me he went through a clutch every year just on the road...no tracking.

I haven't driven the 2012 but one of our writers was on the launch and said it's marginally better...

I frankly don't get it. If you're going to have three setting for the suspension why make them "stiff", "ridiculously stiff" and "unfcukingbearably stiff"?
