Default Car covers

Need to purchase a car cover to protect from sap, bird dropings etc., not needed for winter storage as I have one for that but not suitable for outdoors.
A lot of different ones out there at different price points. My big concern is when putting it on after driving and any road dust being rubbed in by putting on the cover. Any tips??

Hi boxgal...

I have a CT cover (premium one), that I am happy with... I got a small to fit my Boxster S.

I use a California Duster, or a quick detailer and MF cloth, or Optimum No Rinse -(ONR) to wash it to get rid of road dust before putting the cover on..... ends up to be a bit of a pain..... so last year, I came up with this....

Using the premium CT cover on my Z and it keeps it dry and UV free all summer long. I noticed someone in The Beach is using the same cover on a TR6 with the top down. Use California Duster before covering. Only around $100 so you can toss it when it gets dirty.

California duster is available at CT and most automotive supply stores.

I only use it for light dusting. It's not the duster that scratches but the sand/grit being moved around.
