What would you do?

The gesture of sending him the factory clutch is more "in good faith" in my eyes. If you don't walk away, you run the risk of this guy always coming back to you for every small detail in the future. He's a big boy and needs to realize that the car is his responsibility now. A reasonalble person would comprehend what you have done to benefit him.

You've gone above and beyond the call of duty Dave. If the buyer persists in this silliness, an open "discussion" on the local NSX forums will set him straight.
Note: I'm a friend of Arshad's and have seen the car in person, so I know how well you have maintained it. On a side note, he should have bought your car and turned his current one into a track rat. Oh well...

I had the first replacement clutch, at 74k miles, in my Z die after 5K miles which was several years of use. Because of the time passed, Nissan would not cover the clearly faulty part but my tech covered the labour to soften the pain. Maybe yours will too?

Sucks for the new owner but them's are the breaks. The car drove fine when sold and lasted 2k. I suspect massive slippage and low speeds. Things like city driving. Many people think they know how to drive a stick shift until they get a difficult to operate clutch. Too bad. Good on you to send him the stock unit. If he fixes it up the clutch will last.

How different is the racing clutch from a regular clutch, when it comes to driving it? I assume you still need to depress it with your left foot, while giving it some gas.
Every new car I had needed some getting used to on the first few take offs. But I did figure it out fairly quickly every time. And I never lost a clutch to it.
