Hey,
I'm in the process of transferring ownership of a vehicle from my father to myself... and apparently need a "Standard Safety Certificate" in order to do so.
Anybody know of a good "Motor Vehicle Inspection Station" near Newmarket?
This whole transfer of vehicle registration thing is a pain in the ***... it's ridiculous. If I can actually get it registered before the end of the week it will be a miracle.
Thanks,
Jonathan

I was under the impression that a safety is a set price.... $50 IIRC.
Depends on your interpretation of 'good', Good for the buyer (picky), or good for the seller (slightly less picky).....

Good to know about the set price.
The buyer and seller are pretty much equal in my case, since my father is transferring the car to me. So my interpretation of "good" would be not-picky, as in I need this car on the road by the weekend! (There shouldn't be any issues... the car is in good mechanical condition).
I guess really I just need to know of somewhere near Newmarket I can take the car to as I've never dealt with a shop up there (but that's where the car is).
Thanks
