Yes bullets, people are lazy readers.
Be prepared for tons of stupid questions that you've already answered in your add. I just sold a car and wrote a blog about the joys of selling. http://bit.ly/edHeIo Read it for a laugh and brace yourself, you're gonna get some calls.
It looks great, I'm checking my account ballance

- Spend $200 and get the car professionally-detailed. I could see the dirty carpets from here and crud in the corners of the body panels. An engine wash as well as a quick wax will yield positive results. Trust me, you'll get either more money or a sure sale this way.
- Re-shoot the pics w/o the license plates installed. Whiting them out only obscures them. You want the car to look better, not hide the components that make it look ugly.
- Remove the PCA/UCR stickers. If it wasn't installed from the factory, most people don't want it on their car.
- Don't mention performance upgrades unless the buyer is 20 years old or younger. Performance upgrades usually mean that the car was pushed hard and is a not always an advantageous method to sell a used car.
- If you have Canadian Tire style non-oem mats, take them out. People don't like to see rubbish like that in a German sports car.

GLWS Danny, I'm not in the market right now (just changed jobs), but thanks for the heads up. Looks like a well cared-for example.
There's a lot of crap out there advertised in the GTA, none of this condition, OR that can be backed up with receipts/etc.
ps...his TT is awesome...just watch that video he made of it last year.

Three Wheelin'
It's missing one critical line...
Special Price for RK: $2500.
Otherwise it's pretty good. I think the nice house is a huge benefit. I think "mature owner who hasn't cut corners taking care of a car that is $$ to maintain". (Yes, $$ - not $$$ or $$$$) ; )

A bit late to the party, but here's my 2 cents:
-pics - you need more, way more, especially of the interior. On a car with mileage like that, you need to show the interior's in good shape. If you're limited with # of pics (i.e. craigslist limit of 4), take 2 exterior, one from front quarter, one from rear, that way you show all 4 sides of the outside, then use the rest for interior. Make sure the interior is well lit, but nicely lit. A trouble lamp or direct light will make even nice black carpet look really washed out. Indirect is best - a nice sunny day with car turned just the right amount towards the sun will make it look best. 10 minutes with some leather treatment will do wonders, if it's required. Also get some rubber/vinyl treatment for the dash, steering wheel, etc. It'll really make it look deep, rich and new.
-price: you're at the top of the heap, but not out of line, so you need to demonstrate that it's worth top dollar. Hype up the two major mechanical factors, the rebuild and the fact that you're selling it safetied - "engine fully rebuilt at xxx miles, runs in tip-top shape, brand new clutch at 268k, just last summer" "safetied and certified, ready to drive! needs nothing to be enjoyed immediately! e-test exempt, will never need to pass an e-test again!" stuff like that.

guys the car is now sold (deposit rec'd)
track wheels and tires are avail for $800
even though I have another one (even same colour) I am sad to see it go...it is like a family member to me had it since 99 and lots of memories including driving to Cape Cod and proposing to my wife on the beach with it. funny how life is. oh well looks like I will have an empty parking spot to fill.
