I think CAA is a good service, but still not sure it's worth it for me. This is the first time I've ever needed a tow. If I had been a member for say even just the last 5 years, that would be at least 5*80 = $400 ($650 or CAA plus). So as I see it, I am ahead at least $220..

That said, when you need one of their services, tow, battery boost, lockout or whatever, you really need it!

CAA only gives you $5 worth of gas.......ask me how I know lol.

Tough luck on the breakdown. I got stranded on the 401 last Sunday too. Cash deal for a CAA to to cambridge was $200.

Few years ago I drove my DD home without a working cluch pedal. It's pretty easy on the highway, if there is no traffic jam. The side streets were little challenging. Since you were stuck in 3rd, could have kept on driving at leat till the next off ramp. Shifing without a clutch is not that bad.....once you figur out the rythm

That little ba$tard lied to me! But this was 10 years ago with a Gold membership. Had it till last year and used to max it out every year (1996-2010). Used them to tow my porject cars. Muhaha.
