We put up a 20 x 32 foot backyard rink this year, but my son is already on the ice so much he barely used it, so we won't be doing that again! The rink frame is made up of 2 x 10's and there is a liner and some styrofoam boards to help even out the slope of the yard. Everything is free you just have to come and unscrew the boards and haul it home. We spent over $300 for the materials in January. Send me a PM if interestested, first come, first served in Oakville. If you just are interested in the wood for another project, that is no problem...it is going in the scrap heap if someone doesn't take it.

What length are the 2x10's?
I might make mine bigger in the future. Kids are 5 and 7 right now....

Very cool Pete....I read that post when you first linked it. In fact, it was what put me over the edge to go ahead and build this one. The boards are 10 ft long and still look like brand new...There are 10 total.

don't know if i will have time to get down there and take it away in a timely fashion. (probably just use the boards). I'm siphoning mine each day, but it's still about 1/3rd ice.
