I'm biased as my friend owns HPCARS (old Heimraths) at 1890 Lawrence Ave East (Scarborough). Mario is easy to talk to and ensures that you are looked after. I have seen the odd job come back and he made it right (twice in over a year). I hang out there alot and get to see alot as well. Mario does tell the owners what is needed as well as what may fail down the road.

HPCARS (416) 757-4515 and tell them that "Jack Vila" sent them ...

I can't comment on EU or Mantis (no experience there), but I have found Hunter to be fantastic. Great work, very timely and the pricing was more than fair.

You've criticized these guys, but how about stating who you WOULD take your car to?

I realize the OP is asking specifically about EU and MVS but I had a great experience with Zorotech (Stoney Creek). If they aren't too far out of the way you may want to consider them (no affiliation...)

Not in the GTA, but can highly recommend Auto Select in Newmarket. Franz and Nick are great. Just had an alignment done and they always inspect the car and invite me in to have a look at the car while its on the hoist. Nick even ensured the drain holes were cleared of small leaves. Great service and prices.

Thanks for the recommendation! Got an alignment done there and they did it in little over 2 hours as they knew I was waiting for it. Other shops will just tell you to drop it off in the morning and pick it up by lunch time.

Much better than $375 the other place charge even for a fully stock suspension.

+1 for Hunter. Only been there once but he was very fair in his pricing and did a fantastic job. I have booked my upcoming tech inspection with him.

Good to hear about auto select in newmarket! I was thinking about getting an alignment done (new tires, haven't had it done since I got the car) and am up that way this weekend... maybe I'll see if I can pop in!
