IMSA GT3 Canadian Challenge Series
Hey everyone, just a heads up that IMSA is planning a foray into Canada n 2011 with a 3 race series for 996 and 997 Cup cars, similar to the Patron series in the US. Right now Mosport and Calabogie are on the schedule, the 3rd venue is in discussion. But, we need competitors to pull this off - looking to get a field of at least 12 cars out. So, if you have a Cup car and a race license, come on out! I'm working with IMSA right now to put the numbers together, so if you are interested in running, please email me bruce.gregory@calabogiemotorsports.com and let me know.
Current date for Calabogie is May 14-15, with a test day on the 13th. Mosport is, I believe, the ALMS weekend.

The more racing the better Bruce! A couple of question? Are you running a sub group within the July ALMS race at Mosport? ie Like a Canadian Cup points race within the US based series in the same session or your own group alone? Is the plan to use the long track at CMP? The 3rd date - perhaps the UCR race weekend???
And good luck on your plans.
