Default Can you believe this? My gas cap froze and broke off today

... yeah, on the 964, went to fill'er up as I was on fumes and 50k from my house.

Gas cap snapped off - the neck was frozen inside. I decided to try to make it home - drove 80km/h on the 407 and got 28 mpg while pissing off a whole bunch of minivan drivers.

I made it.. but now I need a new gas cap!

Moral of the story, rub some lith grease on your gas cap next time you're hunting around your car with can in hand searching for things to spray.

Minivan drivers should be pissed off. Glad you made it back. It was damn cold today.

Does that mean there is excessive moisture/water in your gas tank?

No way! The 964 is awesome in the snow. I don't believe in reincarnation, so I'm trying to squeeze every ounce of enjoyment out of this lifetime as possible

Amen to that
I took a picture this morning on a country road somewhere about 20 km north of Orangeville with the Boxster. What a blast
