Newbie from Toronto introduce myself
Hi Everybody,
I am currently shopping for a 996TT (02 to 04) and it will be my second P-car since my last 951 (decades ago).
Have owned mainly german cars (love them couldn't resist) and my boy will turn 8 this summer so its time for me and my wife to have some fun with a sports car again
Look forward to meet with you guys at the GTG.
Cheers

Thanks for the warm welcome gentlemen!
I know it must been asked a hundred times before if not more: if I found the car I want should I go to a deal for PPI or some indy shop?
I remember reading a thread somewhere someone mention Brent @ Hunter Motorsports anybody has any other recommendation?
I am ready to make a purchase but I am hoping to keep my purchase under $50k (tax extra) so I think I am limited to 01 to 02 or may be 03 if I am lucky.
I know 01 has no glove compartment and cup holder any other difference between model years?
And yes Receiver, the 993TT is still my dream car especially the S but unfortunately it is our of my price range especially I am now married with a child .....................signs...............I still missed the old days when we have two income and no kid (LOL!).
Thanks again for the welcoming looking forward to meet with you guys (gotto look hard to find my ride soon!).
Cheers

Welcome and good luck with your search. If you need an indy shop for a PPI that is a little closer to you, I would recommend G-tek on Cranfield Road in East York (Eglinton/DVP). I used them for many years, they are knowledgeable + honest.

I used G-Tek early on in my 928 ownership experience and found their work to be seriously lacking. Jack's attention to detail was very poor.
Hopefully he has improved, as I had BestLine sort out his oversights.

Thanks for all the suggestion I will do some research and may be pay the shop a visit then decide which shop to use for PPI.
To Zookie:
I thought about that as well since our $ is almost on par with the USD so besides the recall letter, 6% duty at the border and DRL and CrappyTire inspection what else do I need?
And where to shop for a car besides ebay?
Thx
