Saw a weirdo on the 401 on Xmas eve in a burgandy mustang convertable...with the top down..wearing a tuque! Almost made me think of taking mine out for a spin (minus the top down part)
I still have recurring nightmares of my Datsun's rusting all winter (pre electro coating rust protection) Same reason I never wash them with water. Old Datsun's rust just thinking of water in all the little nooks and crannies!
I will never drive mine in the winter. I don't wash it with water either. It is sitting very comfortably in my garage nice and dry. Even my rotors don't have a speck of rust on the surface! That is why it is still looking pretty good at 25yrs old this year!
I will leave winter for my fearless winterbeater road warrior. I'm insured, and the car is worthless, I have nothing to lose!
Cheers guys! If I had a spare P car, I just might drive one daily.
Scott.

Ottawa puts down so much salt that I feel guilty even driving my Jeep in the winter!

porsche AWD + winter tires + weight in the rear = superior winter performance
I took out the Pcar to play in the newly laid snow just now and it was friggin blast. I'll have to see how she does in some icy conditions.

but never in snow storm or when the road turn in slush and mud ,this is the Cayenne task...i have Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 295/35/18 & 235/40/18 so the
handling is the same as my summer set-up on dry and wet road and they do
a good job on ice and snow but my Cayene with Dunlop winter sport SP is like a
snow-moblie and on dry these tire are very quiet.
enjoy !

Bridgestone Potenzas, worn bellow the wear bar and -7C is a bad combination......I can't take it out until it gets above +10C.

Same tires here; however, last night at 3 in the morning I went for a spin at
speeds of 40 Km/hr, and watched the beautiful orange PSM lights on the
dashboard kick in, and had some fun at slow speed on empty deserted snowy streets.
No doubt snow tires are of ultimate importance for winter and snow.
I love my C4S.
