Question Best place for emissions test

Hello! I have to take my RS60 for an emissions test (just imported from the USA). I have been to some really awful places to get my DD tested, and would NOT bring my P-car there. Anyone have good places that perform emissions testing, preferably in the GTA/Vaughan/Etobicoke area?

I know Mantis does it in Oakville, but with the snow and salt, I really don't want to drive TOO far

Many thanks!

Try A&W (no, not the burger joint ) at 821 Kipling Avenue in Etobicoke (Tel: 416-233-4773). No appointment required and they know Porsches.

Not a fan of Canadian Tire for anything...the RIV inspection was enough!

Thanks AM993, I will check out A&W!

The Brake Shop on (416) 231-5955 Jeff (usually requires an appointment). Located at 366 Munster Ave., just north of A&W (mentioned by AM993)
and just E of Kipling under the Bloor overpass.
I have used both and would recommend either.

I just got my headlight restoration done there. They did a great job and also finished with a clear film for future protection

Thanks all, I will take it to a&w tomorrow. I heard from a mechanic friend that traction control (PSM) should be turned OFF before the test...is this true?

Is probably a good idea to turn PSM off. Last time I got a warning that resets itself after I drive a few kms.

Thanks for the info! I took the car this morning to A&W. I turned off PSM and the car passed..although I did get a o2 sensor CEL. I just removed the gas cap for about a minute and then tightened it back on. CEL went away after 30 seconds of driving.

She's pretty well set for plates/registration, and storage once my car cover arrives

Thanks for the help everyone!
