Topping off tank for storage?

For my motorcycle, it's generally considered good to top off the tank, and run stabilizer thru it before winter storage... The tanks is metal, and the anally retentive group that post on bike forums believe that winter is a good chance for condensation to build up, create water and rust in the tank....
What about my boxster?
1. I believe the tank is plastic, and I don't think condensation should be a big issue....
2. Aren't most fuel systems in the last 10+ yrs a closed loop, non vented system? Meaning very little chance for condensation to occur?
I'm short on time, and remaining dry days this year... I'd like to ONR the car, vacuum the interior and tuck it away in the far corner of my garage under a cover as soon as possible, and take the road insurance off of it.
Accumulating snow forecast again on Friday in SW Ontario....
Thx,
Peter

Pretty sure our fuel systems are pretty much plastic and stainless steel.
Before the winter sleep I add stabilizer, but don't agonize if the tank isn't full...... like I would in my 60's GM muscle cars.

I have a motorcycle and all tht is said is true.
I think a boxster with a plastic tank wil be fine with some non ethanol gas topped up with some stabalizer. I always do this as my tank is metal on my 911, so I think the same treatment for you will be fine.
Lets face it a few months isn't exactly long term storage anyway .

Fuel breaks down quicker when oxygen is present...that is why they recommend filling the tank before adding fuel stabilizer. Filled both of mine yesterday after a nice drive in each
I'll now add stabilizer and THEN a final wash before storage - just incase I spill a little stabilizer

After putting in items such as Stabil and if you have a bike; turn on the reserve and run in that mode for a few minutes then back to main before you park it for the winter.

The amount of Stabil used varies with the length of time you're putting it away for so I don't think it's an exacting science. I use 1/3 of the amount recommended for a 12 month sleep - about 100mls max. if I recall. I think most guys use way more than you need to but the stuff's cheap so it really doesn't matter....

....again I don't agonize over the the amount or whether it's into full or nearly full tank ... but if it help some folks sleep better at night, then by all means "****"-ize to your hearts content!
