Hey there, another 87 951 owner from Edmonton. Welcome!

Autopartsonlinecanada.com has good prices on filters, pads etc. I actually got all my parts for a complete brake job from them last year.

I do have a scary issue with this car....it likes to overheat when sitting at lights. I need to run a compression test, but $@#%ed my back up this week.

I'm hoping for good numbers, but on the positive side, I didn't pay much for it.

All around 120. Forgot to hold the throttle open, but NOT going out again with my back (felt good to stretch it out though).

Anyone have a good coolant reservoir? I spy a crack or soon to be crack in mine.

I saw your 4S there, I didn't realize it came down from Fort Mac, good for you!

I snapped a few pics of my car when Polarporsche had his Spyder parked beside it, is that ever a neat piece of kit.

Dunl, with any luck your cooling issue might be as simple as a good flush. I would give the system a good flush and start with some decent fluid and go from there. It's a good possibility that it hasn't been done in a while, and could use a good cleaning/flush with some fresh coolant. Welcome to the addiction!

I was there also with my GT3, my wife had my Boxster Spyder out but left early, too cold for her.

Hope you had a good time in spite of the weather.

Thanks guys, I'll check them out.

There's some new info about my little $500 beater. My hood release has started to...well...release. lol. Need to remove it for a good clean and lube. I don't think the fans are coming on but if they are and that was what I was hearing, then I think it was the high speed and only for three seconds at a time. Also, I don't think the turbo is working....I can't hear it, and ir drives like a four cylinder if you know what I mean.

But hey...it cost me $500 out of pocket, right?
