Default New Indy

a new indy garage was advertised in our Burlington paper last week that claims to have BMW trained techs. Just wondering what you guys would consider a good set of criteria for trying out a new indy. (this would be for the wife's '05 330 cab). Would you make a trip over to give it a preliminary inspection/ meet the owners ? go by price ? being new, I'd doubt they have much in the way of history for word of mouth references. Would you give them a chance because they are new or would that be too much of a deterent until they become established ? just lookin for thoughts and opinions.....

I would also ask when was the last time he was in training by the factory. Does he have the latest proprietary BMW diagnostic tools and software? Your 330 is a fairly modern car and it's not uncommon for a manufacturer to issue bulletins and updates to service procedures for many years after the in-service date.
What level of certification did he attain with BMW?

Thanks Phil....I'll certainly ask them these questions.

I guess since there has been no other responses that everyone else to quite happy with the garage they currently go to (or happy doing their own wrenching) and wouldn't venture to a new one. Says a lot about customer loyalty!
