Private lapping day at Mosport - September 15
Hi everyone,
It's time to register for our 2010 private lapping day at Mosport on September 15. Same format as usual with a twist: about 34 Porsches, 2 run groups / 25 minutes per run (which means you spend about 25 minutes on the track per hour between 9:00am and 5:00pm, minus a lunch break), one professional organiser (aka Gerry Low) and two qualified instructors available on site to help improving your driving skills. Price this year: $350.00 (including track rental, ambulance, corner workers and lunch).
IMPORTANT:
- Prior track experience is mandatory (no first timer please)
- Helmet is mandatory (SNELL SA2000, SA2005 or M rated helmet required)
- even though a prior vehicle Safety/Tech inspection is not required, it is the Drivers responsibility to ensure that their Porsche is safe and fit for track use (any vehicle found not to be in compliance on the day of the event will be excluded).
If you are interested, please post a positive reply on this thread or send me a PM and I will add you to the Drivers List below:

Most likely I'm in, but can't confirm yet.
With regard to questions about experience, obviously I can't speak for Arnaud, but these days in the past have been non-instructed lapping days, with intermediate and advanced groups. My personal belief is that if your experience is equivalent to PCA green, you'd be nuts to drive Mosport solo. Much of the carnage I've witnessed there came from inexperienced drivers not respecting the track enough. And I include myself in that bunch - my first LAP out there solo I spun and crashed in turn 5. Didn't even make it around once.
