Default if you like exotics (and douch-bags) - Yorkville Thursday 7-12

The Gumball 3000 touches down in Yorkville tomorrow night.

Who can pass up a chance to see Hassellhoff?

Its free and runs from 7-12.

Come on you know you want to see the cars (and the posers, implants and mini-skirts!)

West-side represent!

Funny thing is - Germany pretty much banned these guys and all the cars were locked up until a judge had his say - then after he ruled they were 'street racers' the cars were transported out of the country on truck haulers. Wait until you hit FantinoLand boys!!

The gumballers left Amsterdam this morning on coaches for the long journey to Denmark. Why no cars we hear you ask! It all stems from a German court decision a couple of days back when judges refused to grant make Gumball 3000 a legally racognised rally. As a result, no Gumballers are allowed on German roads. This forced Gumball HQ to load all the cars onto transporters after last nights party and attempt to get them through on the back of the lorries.

I used to think that one day I would want to do the Gumball Rally...

Now, I have no intention of it, sure it will be fun to watch all of the exotics pass through Yorkville, but I have no desire to drive in it.

I'd much rather do a real rally: http://www.targanewfoundland.com/

Targanewfoundland would be awesome to do and awesome for the Newfie economy.. as there is none! They need to do a TT Race like the Isle of Man too... way easier to get to for the NA people!

Even in Newfoundland, society would go ape**** over something as raw and unregulated as the Isle of Man TT races. The year I was there, 7 riders were killed in the 2 weeks of racing (i think the average is 4 or so each year). 37 miles of narrow road with rock walls on each side, with about 35 miles of that unpadded. What could go wrong? It is racing in its purest sense!

Saw it on Speed TV one year...completely mental. One guy was doing a wheelie at what must have been 200 km/h with jagged stone walls on either side of him. Made for great TV can only imagine in person.

Targa and TT are the way to go. Gumball dingbats really don't have a clue what they are doing.

Doesn't look too promising for them even in Quebec.
For those who can read french:

SQ are waiting for them at the border for verifications

Theres nothing special about this event exept for the cars worth over half a mill to drool over.
The rest is just lambo's and rented AM with full of stickers.
