thanks for the support. I just will always dislike the habs. It took a Toronto boy and former Leaf to get the winning goal last night! I had a lot of mental difficulty when Gilmore played in Montreal.
btw I will accept wagers from Habs fans for round 2 let's see what great fans you guys are.
Should be interesting vs. the Pens....if Halak is solid...could go all the way to 7 games again!

The Habs certainly deserved the win...and the look on OV's face was priceless. I guess you shouldn't mouth off before the game.

I'd have 'hot-sticked' in front of OV on the bench to give him a taste of his own classlessness.

You gotta love the amount of concern that the local authorities have surrounding the threat of rioting, win or lose. Classic Quebec.

16 SHOTS
how can anbody say they deserved to win with 16 shots?

Halak stole the game.

I can't see them winning even 2 games vs Sid and Co.

I'm happy for the Habs but I'm also realistic, put Halak in a locker and they're playing golf right now ! Even if Washington suffered coach, Oveshkin and Green brain fades they still directed between 80 and 90 shots per game towards Halak's net !!! A special mention to Gill and Gorges, probably the best "defensive" pair in the NHL right now !

Goaltending was definitely on the Habs side. Reminds me of the Patty Roy days...he saved their bacon more than once.

That's playoff hockey for you though...a hot goalie, some great defense, some scorers...woohoo!

They should give the Pens a series.

Win or lose, I'm just glad they beat the Caps and redeemed themselves for the season they had.

the Habs fans seem to be....silenced...will they even win one game or get swept like last years first round? Halak looked great...while he was getting pulled.
Ice: good choice Pens have been my favorite after the Leafs for 3 years now. Sid is better than OV!

You Leafs fans are missing point. Repeat after me,,, The Habs are in the playoffs, the Leafs are in the toilet like last nights supper.

There really isn't anything left to say, win or lose the Habs went further.

If the NHL was a daycare room ... ( which sometimes it is ) the Leafs would be the most popular kid in the class everyone secretly wants to be like even though he has not accomplished anything of any real value.

The habs would be the kid in corner having the tantrum, jumping up and down crying that everything is everyone elses fault...
