About the Tim Horton Children's Foundation Charity

The Tim Horton Children's Foundation was established in 1974 by Ron Joyce, Co-Founder of the Tim Hortons chain, to honour Tim Horton's love for children and his desire to help those less fortunate.

The Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to providing a fun-filled camp environment for children from economically disadvantaged homes. Year-round, local children are selected from each of the communities in which a Tim Hortons store operates, giving thousands of children the opportunity to attend one of our camps.

Children living in economically disadvantaged homes often do not have access to supports that develop positive life skills. With 1 in 6 children across Canada and the United States living in an economically disadvantaged home* , the Tim Horton Children's Foundation provides opportunities for these children to develop into positive, contributing members of their communities. The Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp experience is designed to give children confidence in their abilities through participation in challenging programs. They experience pride in their accomplishments as they succeed in attaining their goals, and they gain a positive view of this world and their future in it.

This year the Foundation will serve close to 16,000 children from economically disadvantaged homes. Together we are truly making a difference.





Donation Levels:

We will continue with the Multi-Tiered Prize - Donation Packages; featuring limited edition Tim Horton Children Foundation (THCF) gifts, based on the donation level.

We will have a THCF registration form at the event, which you can fill out, and you will be sent a receipt by the Foundation.

this was a fantastic event last year, and i recommend you all participate if you can. Fantastically well organized cruise!

Regrettably will not be able to participate this year, but will def be down for 2011.

Hey Mark, do we sign up for a donation package, then sign up for the drive? Sorry, just a bit confused about how this works. Currently my May 30 is open. Is there a raindate?

When you sign up for a donation package, then you are automatically signed up for the cruise. If you would like to bring a passanger on the cruise as well, then you can sign them up for a donation package, or just "Snack Package" for $10.00 which covers their snacks and lunch up at the camp.

I'll be keeping an eye on the weather, as the date nears, and will give everyone plenty of notice if we have to change the date ... so far we have never had to reschedule the cruise!

I've updated the original post with all the THCF Gifts for the various Donation Gift Packages, and our First Silent Auction Item! A beautiful print donated by the one and only Lucas Scarfone!
