I'd like to invite you all up to the Fleetwood Country Cruize In in London, Ontario on 5 June 2010. It is one of the biggest outdoor car shows you'll see. You're free to come and go whenever you want, however it'd be nice for the Rennlist crew to stick together and arrive at the same time so we can all park together (with almost 3000 cars last year, it's hard to park with similar cars unless you all arrive together). There is no judging, and if you don't arrive with a group, make sure you tell the cop at the corner that you're part of the display group or you'll be forced to the spectator's lot. Last year I only saw a small handful of P-cars. Would like to change that this year!
Entry is $10 regardless if you're a spectator or putting your car on display. If you feel like donating more, you're more than welcome to.
Event is hosted by Steve Plunkett, who is a major Caddy collector with approx 45 Cadillacs dating back to 1935 in his collection along with 17 or so other non-Caddy cars. He`s convereted a large house (55ft x 130 ft) into a two floor museum for some of his cars. It`s really something to see.
See website below for full details

Here are a couple of pics I took last year just so you can get an idea of how big it is. Note that you cannot see all of the areas in the pics.

Lest you think this is just classic cars from looking at the photos, it's open to any vehicle. There was an orange Gallardo there last year, along with a GT-40, a Vette club from Michigan, and a couple Mustang clubs, both of which had more newer models than older.

Just a quick bump incase anyone is interested in showing up this Saturday if the rain holds off.
Tickets are $10 regardless if you drive your car into the show or if you park off-site and just want to walk around (If you're coming in a P-car, I'd strongly recommend driving into the show).

It's an outstanding show and 5 minutes from my office. Apparently the largest outdoor car show in North America now. I'll be going no doubt.
Of note - if you're car is newer than 1985 you need permission to show it (which is not hard to get - see the website http://www.fleetwoodcountrycruizein.com/2010/2010.html)
The coolest thing is you'll see car clubs drive to London together on the 401. One year I saw 37 Corvettes go by. So cool. Not the Vettes really, but that they were all together.

Is there a planned meet up to drive our cars down the 401?

I guess I should put that question out to people in the GTA who plan to go to the London event.
Is there any interest in a meet up and drive to london?

It was an outstanding day. 1000s of cars there, 50's & 60's music piped throughout the grounds. Plunkett built a beautiful garage for his most valuable Caddilacs, great vendors to. It was a much better show than even the one I went to a couple years back.

Hey, I think I know the red 928. If I remember right it's an ex Porsche executive car with a 4.7L. This car was made before the 4.7 was even released. It's suprisingly fast too, I was behind him last fall at the Niagara run.
