Default WTB Track Car - Ideas

I have an offer on my DE project car that I am considering but only if I can replace it. Ideally it is an older GT3 but I was asleep at the switch when 'Rob in VA' had his up last week. The other ones advertised are way above my budget. Any ideas? Please PM me. THX

I'm thinking of getting an older Boxster as a DE car. They are a great handling car and can be had for less than $15K now. Parts are cheaper than on a 996/997. If you ball them up at the track, there are less tears involved since it's not a significant investment.

I think a boxster is an excellent choice for a track car. If 986, I'd suggest getting an S as the regular model was underpowered, IMO. Then again, a diet may solve that problem. They can be had for as low as $10K in the states. I saw some auction results recently with some higher mileage 97s and 98s going for as low as $4K!

There is a 2004 GT3 for sale here in Montreal. I know the car and the owner. It is in impeccable shape **** retentive maintenance. CPO available too. Check out the classifieds on our local PCA chapter web site. Owner is getting a 2010 RS.

Best,
Thx for the note Bob. No question exactly what I am after except ofr one thing......($)...if I buy that at that number I will have no room for my bedding and favorite recliner when my wife kicks me out and makes me live in it.

you know if we all at some point dropped 10 G on a boxster ( as we all know we will be there soon enough ) we could have a pretty cool Rennlist boxster spec series..
