Default Ugh, first day of 'winter'

Winter is here (in KW)

Went to drive home today and there was enough ice on my windows that they didn't want to "auto open" when you pull the door handle. Frozen solid.. so i had to wait for the car to warm to let it thaw.

Oh well, its fun to touch the gas and let the tail wag out a bit

Mat I would take that anytime .. you don't have to shovel cold ... but the molases in the crankcase might be a bit of an issue ..

It snowed in Virginia on Saturday. Pretty good blast of the white stuff.

Needless to say I was not impressed that my temp location brought me snow before my home town got it.

I think I need to ask for a refund

I guarantee that all the snow will be gone by next June.

And look at the bright side, when some of us pull out our toys again next spring, it'll feel like a new toy all over again.

I wasn't too thrilled with the sight of snow this morning either. I've been procrastinating getting my snow tires on - so it's on tomorrow's plan now.

Not sure if this has been posted or not, just thought I'd throw it out there:

My TDI coughed a bit this morning. Man these diesels need a ton of juice to turn over in the cold. Tonight it's time to plug in the battery blanket.

I'll vouch for it, I have driven my 911 far across here in the winter. It does wonderful in the snow and ice provided it has proper tires.

ya drove from scarborough to the tri cities last night and omg!

There is virtually minor snow after our few hour sprinkle on tuesday.

Milton clear>>Guelph clear> Cambridge clear> Kitchener light dusting> Waterloo TURN THE F around before you die.

Thye don't have one....VW tought their glow plug technology is so good that block heaters are nto required in the new TDIs. Figure that horse $hitout!

I can get a coolant heater (1500W) that will bring the engie almost up to operating temp in 2 hrs. BUT I only went with an electrical battery blanket last year. It seems to work well as it keeps the batery at optimal temperature for cranking. Maybe I need ot get the two 928 out of the garage! LOL
