What's the cheapest car you ever bought? I'd love to hear some of the stories.
I think I've out done myselft today by picking up a co-worker's '93 Civic for.............................$75. The best part is that I know the entire history of this. Helped him pick up a low Km replacement engine a couple years ago and has a brand new set of tires too. The car is in a good enough shape to worth saving it from the crusher.

I once bought an ugly rusted out 8 year old Chev Cavalier for $100 bucks back in the 90's. It had over 240k km's and didn't run, so the owner was going to have it towed to the boneyard. Instead, I had it towed to my place and after spending a weekend I was able to get it running on my own for very little money.
It was my winter beater for five months before the engine finally blew up (piston rod through the engine block wall). I called up a wrecking company, and they came and picked it up and gave me $100 bucks! Talk about a cheap set of wheels!

Great stories! I love resurecting cars that other have gave up on and looks like I'm not the only one. I'd love to see pics of the Rabit Project.
Here's what the $75 Civic looks like. Came with a full tank of gas, that's half the cost of the car.

1991 CBR600 F2
Cost: 25$ (cost of gas for a week back in 2004)
Friend had no license when he bought it, no insurance, no plates and was riding it around so his dad threw me the keys and said take it before he gets arrested.
What a heap of **** it was.
11 Owners on the UVIP
Shifter fell off while i was riding it (so stuck in 1st gear all the way home)
60,000kms - Needed valve adjustment, the motor sounded like it was smacking the valves every time it rotated.
Would die spontaneously for no reason - loose grounding...left me stuck on the side of the road because it had ****ty aftermarket fairings on it that precluded getting access to the electricals without tools..which were also under the fairings. Got it going again by using a branch to fanangle the loose connector back into place thru the fairing vent.
Despite all that, it was probably still as fast or faster than my 996
