+1 for Robert - I picked up Peter's C2S Cab yesterday and enjoyed working with him.

There was a miscommunication on the type of tires that were on the car I was trading in but Robert honored the original understanding.

And I had a fantastic sunny fall drive back to Ottawa as a bonus.

Gorgeous car. I'm happy that it worked out for you.

Personally, I won't buy pre-owned from Downtown Porsche again, and I don't get my car serviced there. The sales experience was very pleasant and attentive as far as it went (also with Robert). But the car turned out not to be fit for sale, IMHO. Without getting into a long, boring story, my conclusion was that the service department there is just kind of phoning it in, and that the pre-owned inventory wasn't special just because it was on a dealer lot.

We all have different experiences, which is what makes life interesting....

I think any dealership (Porsche) that has to deal with such a predominantly large percentage of Type A personalities will have it's challenges!!

Maybe mine was the exception, in that it is as described and represented. Other than better pricing and a closer drive, I could not have asked for more.

I appreciate the evenhandedness. But trust me: I am no 'Type A'. The condition of my car, which had only ever been serviced there, revealed over time that the guys in the service department are turn-and-burn flat raters. Let's just say that an out-of-warranty car appears to be incompatible with their business model. How's that?

Great looking 993, Peter. Care to share any details? Love the Ruf wheels.

Very nice acquistion...such a darn shame you fellows in Ontario are not like us Quebecers where we don't have to mess up the front end of a GT3 or any other car for that matter, with a plate!

Nothing to do with personality. I just plain old couldn't get anyone's interest enough to address the problem. 4 or 5 emails and phone calls should at least get me a quote on winter tires I would think. Thankfully the car is bulletproof in terms of reliability so far, so I couldn't really care less what they do at the dealership.

My sales rep buggered off to Pfaff 2 weeks after my delivery, but not a word from anyone. I had to make another 3 or 4 attempts at contacting someone who eventually let me know the situation with regards to followup questions, and Hans was great, but has since left too. At least he had the class to send out an email with the information.

Thumbs up Hi...

very nice vehicle. I actually just purchased my 2010 Cayman S from Robert on the 15th...should be here in a couple of months. He was superb.

Keep it clean.

-RB.

Ps. First post here...I'm an import from a few other forums (Planet 9 and formerly my350z). Should probably introduce myself somewhere.
