That would be my concern.(Any info?)
You can always seal the tiles, for those who are concerned about stains.

Default Just did my own project

Kind of a minor omne ... i just can't get through the week without buying SOMETHING from CT , or my week just wouldn't be complete .....

I bought these to keep my wheels on .

I have one at full extention and one at minimum extention. Those aren't tires up there but whole wheels. The racks are rated at 250 lbs. Even though it holds all my wheels it does sway a little and make me nervous.
I will actually move that one up and put 2 wheels on each one. I only did that to get the wheels out of the way while I put th other one up . They block too much light at full extention.

I put the cardboard up there to recycle the package thay came it and it stops grit and dirt from falling through. The only concern I have is they are close to the garage door motors. Electric motors give off OZONE and that will affect the rubber in the tires so i will have to bag them

other than that it does give me lots more storage in the garage.... maybe I should have painted the ceiling first ..... naw !!!!!!

The storage units look great.....but I would be super paranoid about mounting it directly above my car. I have rotten luck.

yeah i was paranoid too ... so i did a couple of chin ups with the hanger bars first before i put the grid in .. only a couple because that's all I could do .....

The shorter one is WAY sturdier as you double up the hanger bars and is SOLID ....

I was thinking of getting one of these Tire Rack racks:

http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/detail.jsp?ID=61

but the Canadian Tire ceiling ones are out of the way, and preserve wall space, that could be used for Porsche posters.

What to do...

So that's where the roof belongs (mounted on the wall). I like the decorative Porsche design features throughout your garage by the way. Hey is that a Porsche television set in the corner ?
