Does anyone know any history on this car?

Stop in and see them and ask to see a carfax on it. Maybe they sold it to begin with and know the whole background story (complete with maintenance records) on it which would be better then a carfax report I would say.

Exactly what I would do if I lived in TO and and not Ottawa, which is why I'm asking in here on the chance that someone knows this car.

Default Straight car...

No issues, never been tracked. Talk to Robert at Downtown Porsche, it's his customer's car.

It was sold in March or early April 09 and I believe it was returned for personal reasons. Have no idea who owned it before.

As Niteal said, I also think the price is high considering the new cars are not that far away in price, do your homework on pricing when and if you make an offer.

Yes price is too high considering they sell the x51 power package of 25 hp for 20k and the new GT3 is 20k more with 20 hp more the the old 997. Plus who really wants the heavy adaptive sport seats and Nav and heavier upgraded speakers in a GT3.

Peter, keep the 997 S for week-end drive and get yourself a 996 3 for track rat.

LOL, lots of good feedback guys!! The car is a bit of a poseur with all the "heavy" options... (kinda matches my C2S Cab without the "COUGH" deviated stitching). nothing some simple Rn'R with proper seats, roll bar and harnesses couldn't fix though.

I was told it wasn't tracked, which really isn't an issue as long as the DME scope shows no range 3 or higher.

Carl and Chris, if only I was blessed with your deep pockets and large garages, keeping the Cab and getting a 6GT3 would be the smart option, however my SO says otherwise!!
