HEAVY POLICE patrol man..almost to the point where the road was "shut down" earlier in the summer, was the report i got from bikers who went down. because ur going midweek, u might luck out.

In all honesty tho, if ceaser or someone is going with u in another car, take a walkie talkie and have them scout ahead first.

Be advised that they have started giving tickets to people for filming while driving on the road.

Zookie, don't forget to bring the up to date list of Porsche dealerships along your route and their phone numbers, just in case. I had a mechanical situation in July on my way to Florida with the Audi (failed resonance flap) and the 1-800 Audi Assistance lady kept recommending that I turn around and drive back 120 miles north for the nearest Audi dealership, when there was another Audi dealer 150 miles south, right on my route to Florida (I am glad I had a paper map to figure it out).

I was down there a while back, great roads everywhere. The week i was there a guy on an R6 crossed the line in a lowside and got ran over by a pickup and died. I ran up and down it 3 times at a brisk pace and I was done for the day. 318 turns in 11 miles...
