Most or all of the Castrol 5w-40s are on the approved list.
Most are WW, only one is US/Can specific , that being the Syntec. I'm sure the the Syntec is branded under a different name WW or in Europe. (but don't quote me on it).
When I put my car away and do my oil change i'm going to track down some Syntec 5w-50 or 10w-50 since my car never sees 0 cel. Yes, I know that 50 isn't on the list other than M1 5w-50s (2 of them WW)

i just have never heard any good things about them .. but to be fair it may have a lot to do with the type of engine i use and the bearing clearances involved.
Pete Zimmermann, Charles Navaro and Steve Weiner do not overly recommend Castrol.

You're air/oil cooled no? I would assume you need more ZDDP than what is in current oils. So a Brad Penn oil would serve better? I only know what people smarter than me say regarding oils.
I'm pretty sure Jake Raby knows what to use but he's not saying, atleast not in public.
P.S. (Jake, i'm always listening in my inbox)
