Question Fender roller. Anyone in Toronto have one? Or knows a shop that does?

Fender roller. Anyone in Toronto have one? Or knows a shop that does?

I have a 928, and the front's are just rubbing a bit, and would like to roll the front fenders just like the factory 928 GT were done.

Tire rack sells a device, so I assume someone, or a shop in Toronto has one.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

I rolled a 914's fenders with an aluminum bat on the wheel, starting at the front of the tire/fender, holding on tightly whilst the wifey pulls the car ahead slowly.

Not pretty, but works like a charm every time.

Some have done it on the 928 forum using a wooden bat with great sucess. The key is to go slow and to heat the edge/paint with a heat gun. Apperantly the wooden bat has more give and is a lot gentler than an aluminium.

Just make sure it is a baseball bat and not a cricket bat.

I've tried the aluminum a while ago, but gave up, as the fender bends out, but the lip does not bend at all (scares me, as I'm afriad the crack the paint, and/or kink the fender)

I like the idea of the wood (probably less cracking the paint) and I have the heat guy, and digital thermometer to make sure I don't over do it.

I think you were keeping the angle of the bat wrong. There is a good write up, with pictures, of this on the 928 board. Have you looked at it yet?

I just noticed that Princess Auto sells one. Blue, with an orangish resin wheel. I didn't notice how much it cost, but it's likely cheap, in accordance with its build quality.

Where did you see that? I looked on-line, but no luck.

If you saw it in a store, which location?

Thanks!!

It was in the flyer a couple of weeks ago as a new item. It was $300.
