Funny description of 911 variants on Pistonheads site...
I like the UK site Pistonheads, which has quite a good Porsche section. This desription of the Porsche variants was posted yesterday, deeply cynical
It's quite simple; carrera designates an engine development car and the remnants of porsche's ill fated program to build seals, shafts, barings and liners from a brie/parmesan alloy. a 4 in the name means it is a variant designed for learner drivers and farmers. you can pay an extra £7 a month, 16% apr to get an s badge on the back. the turbo is a high torque version used to accelerate fat businessmen onto motorways safely. all these cars are available for the disabled with tiptronic. proper 911's have a gt name. the gt3 caters for those having a mid life crisis and has a turbo engine, without a turbo. the gt3 rs is a chaved up gt3 for those who got divorced after buying a gt3, it provides an extra 5kg of downforce at 205mph. finally the gt2 is a turbo with the front driveshaft unbolted for an extra 20k. quite simple... something for everyone

It may be construed as cynical by some, but a lot of truth hidden here.
Now all we need is an addendum dealing with that infamous chick car.
just my opinion, your results may vary

Great description, at the Toronto Car Cruise a couple weekends ago a guy said the Porsche line up in the parking lot looked like "The best 40 year old mistake" poster from Porsche, I've got to find this.
So Ronan, what would that make you with two GT3RS' ?
