Looking for a project car.
From time to time I usually pick up a project car or bike and slowly fix it, then when it's all finished, sell it (avg. 2 projects / year).
If anyone has something or knows of one that needs work (prefer mechanicall over body work) and is worth saving (the car has to be cheap enough and still worth something to re sell at the end), feel free to send me a PM of just post here. Lately I've had pretty good sucess with Proteges as they seems to be more resonably priced than a Civic or Corolla and the used parts are plenty too.

Or the 1986 Corolla GT-S. Epic fun cars to drift with and kids pay stupid (actually retarded amounts) money for them.

Thaks for the offer guys but I'm looking for something that's a little less work than the MB and the 928. As for the Corrola GT-S, not a bad idea but to find one that's not rotted is too diffcult and the market that it attracts, is a lot more limited than something newer and more common.
The last one I had was an '02 Prtege 5 with a blown engine and 160K kms. Bought it for $800, spent another $700 (including a replacement engine) then got it certified and e-tested and sold it for jsut over $4k. This was twice as much as what I make on a project but at least gives you an idea.
Well, almost! I've been plugging at it for the last week and it's almost finished. Have to put the intake namifold back on and re connect the steering shaft and left exhaust pipe.
So by the end of the long weekend it should be running.

Sounds good, the injector rails are in place, with the new Linclon units. Tomorrow are the end tanks and the oil recovery "system", then the PS pump, followed by the steering rack shaft and driver side exhaust pipe. Saturday, today, I'm in a hunt for a good used battery at the local junk yard.

I was too chicken to invite you over. All I need is a witness when something goes catastrophically wrong!!!
I finished her last night but was too late to take it out for a spin. I’ll have to get new tags and to get the insurance re instead on it anyways.
I’ll let her idle for a while, probably 30-45min, before making any runs under boost.
What wrong with yours, need a hand?
