Default PC buffer

I have one you could borrow. All that I ask is you supply your own chemicals and pads.
I am in cambridge ... but away this week on vacation.

The pads and chemicals can be expensive. $30-70 a pad, $80.00 a bottle for 3m and lucky to get 4-5 waxes per bottle.

Ice man, do you ever see my 91 black 964 cab around town license plate EAR2EAR with a loud exhaust?

I have not seen your targa around. I am in heslper off townline road.

I picked up some Lake Country pads (~$12.50@) and Menzerna (power finish PO 203) to use with a PC 7336 ..... from these guys in Canada ...... fantastic results.

which is easier to use? The smaller 4" pads or the 6" variety?

I'm thinking about trying the "Optimum Polish II" product on my vehicles. I'll experiment on my wife's black 2003 Honda CRV, before going onto the 01 Boxster S......

I use the 6" pads. Never tried the 4". You Just need to make sure your pad is always loaded and never let it get dry. You will burn through the clear coat in 2 seconds. Always keep the orbital moving, never in one spot.

Actually that is not true with the PC , you actualy use the product until it breaks down and I have never burned through and clear coat .. I think I have a neat utube video if I can find it.
stay with Orange and black pads and stay with the eshine stuff. do not use 3M as it is for profesionals and you can do damage. The eshine stuff will do fine.

i use Orange and black pad
poorboys swirl remover 2.5 2 and 1 ( orange )
I use poorboys polish and sealer , and I have never had an issue. ( black )

everyone has there favorite combo for sure.

Iceman, I use the 3m product. Have done many vehicles and depending on the cutting agent, you need to keep moving the orbital. At least the product I work with you need to. Maybe the product you are working with has different recommendations.

oh yes you are bang on .. with the 3M you can go through your clear coat quickly, that is whay i recomend not using it unless your REALLY know what you are doing. That is profesional stuff and provides the best results.
The PC and associated lake of the woods pads and poorboys and most commercioal products sacrifice speed for safety. For about 99% of the people safety is probably the way to go ... unless you have a good relationship with a body shop

PS me you and Imre should get together one night at the local Tims , he lives right up beside you off townline in Hespeler. I am sure his 928 is in bits somewhere in his garage ( as usual )
Chris lives in Cambridge somewhere too ( CRooster on here i think ), there is a guy up the street with a red Cayman , and my buddy across the street has a BoxsterS and a 996 ( both black on black ) So we are starting quite the population here.
