Default Mosport Lapping Day Opportunity Sept 28 & 29

The NSX Clubs of America & Canada have rented the Grand Prix track at Mosport this September 28 & 29 for a private HPDE, and would like to invite Rennlisters to participate! $250 per day or $450 for both and include classroom and in-car instruction. The track will be fully staffed with marshals etc.

Each driver will be assigned a run group based on experience, and will be responsible for having their completed tech inspection form at the track.

Please email Sean at swbatte@rogers.com with any questions.

Payment by www.paypal.com to nsxca@nsxca.org please indicate NSXCA Mosport Event when paying. Only 20 spots per day are open currently.

Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Instructor.

You should get 4 or 5 runs per day.

I agree with Dan - 4-5 runs per day at $450/weekend is pretty steep. A UCR weekend would provide the same track time, at $310 for the whole weekend.

I don't know, but you get 4 runs a day, 25 min. each, if memory serves. The red (advanced/instructor) group usually get a "late" checkered flag, so they get a bit more. Cost per minute on track for UCR is in line with the other lapping groups (6th gear, apex, dexter, cntdrv). This one is not.

We are only expecting 40 cars total - so about 10 per run group.

I was at the last UCR event there and there were 30 cars in the white group and I was stuck in trains several times. A good event to be sure, but a lot of traffic.

The NSXCA event will have fewer cars, and it will be a great day to go! Hope you can come!

PS. No one is making any money on it that's for sure! The fee is the same for everyone.

At 40 cars total, why not cut the # of run groups in half and double the track time? 20 cars in a group doesn't usually lead to much traffic. I believe that's about what Arnaud ran on Monday, and we didn't have any problems with trains. And I should know - I'm the one who starts them

swbatte, you should come to our events at Mosport: 2 run groups (meaning 7 runs per day), 17 cars per run group, strictly Porsches (except when a F-430 comes into the mix ) for $295.00 per day all-in (including BBQ lunch, specially designed souvenir T-shirt for the day and afterdrinks). Next days are July 23 (3 spots left) and September 14

It's an experience thing. We'll have some first timers (many NSX owners are afraid to take their cars into the rain never mind the track ) and then we'll have some very experienced guys with race cars etc in the instructor group. However, you've got a good point. I'll bring it up with the organizers maybe they can combine the advanced and instructor run group and give them a longer session.

Derrick Hanson (chief instructor with BMW and Ferrari) will be running the event with Stuart Sherman (registar & track coordinator for BMW), so those decisions are left to them to make.

On the cost issue - we are well taken care of by the PCA for sure. They get enough cars out to keep costs down, especially since it's not for profit. But many groups I've run with have been $300-$400 per day with and even without an instructor. $250 is very competitive.

I'll look into it! Thank-you for the invite!
