After about 7 weeks in the shop, I got my car back last Friday. It is amazing now and properly sorted. I bought this car in California almost 2 years ago, and the guy who did the PPI must have just looked out the window from his desk and wrote his report becuase he missed a ton of issues, but all are fixed now. Heres what I had done:
- New tires Toyo T1R's (The inside sidewalls of the old tires crumbled when the were removed)
- 930 turbo brake calipers (they never worked...why?) wrong master cylinder, vacuum leak, vacuum line to the engine was too small, calipers all had the wrong gaskets preventing the pistons from moving in and out easily. The brake's are heart stopping now. Also installed new brake lines
- I had a birds nest of wiring under the dash from 31 years of stereo and alarm system installs and uninstalls. The entire thing was rewired and I don't even know where they put all the wires cause it is clean under there now
- Installed a new fog light switch and cigarette lighter
- Installed a new blower fan
- Installed a new climate control panel and all of the steel cables that open and close the various vents. Also installed lights behind it which my old one had none of.
- replaced the cables which run from the pull levers for the heater between the seats
- Fixed the clock and the dash light that fits into the clock.
- Fixed the glove box light.
- Installed the power seats I bought at hershey which required running power and some work to the tracks
- Full alignment
- Oil change (Brad Penn)
- Adjust the steering rack
Once I got it home, I installed the goodies I bought at hershey which included:
- Polished aluminum Rennline door sill plates
- Rear black seats (tops and bottoms) to match the new front ones
- Rear seat belts (my car didn't have any)
- New hood crest
- New tail light covers
My car also did not come with a manual, jack, or tools which I purchased at Hershey and from fellow Porshe dudes.
What's left to install...
- I have a dash in perfect condition that I bought at Hershey but the front windshield needs to come out in order to install it. Mine is delaminating so I will replace it and the rubber gasket at the same time. Just trying to figure out a cheap and easy way to do this properly.
- Install a cat bypass pipe. Just waiting for the gaskets to come in.
Needless to say, the car feels and drives great now.

Well, I sold the RX-7 on Monday so the P-car is all I have left. I will miss that RX-7, but the Porsche is a lot of fun and I plan to keep her for a while now that she is properly sorted.
