Default As predicted...

As I predicted after the last major crashes... the crackdown for Halton/North Burlington has begun!! Heard on the radio today that Halton is even getting support from the OPP to man radar traps through out the area. The radio says it is called, 'Project Bears in the Woods'!

They will be staking out 50km zones as a number one target and in their words, 'We hope to get people doubling the limit'. (Wouldn't it be funny if they got no one doubling the limit! They would take credit anyway.)

This is all because of a few people who go out and prove Darwin's Law while driving the back roads of Halton.

Pulling plug wires off the Yoda as we speak. Make it a one cly!

I have seen an unbelievable number of speed traps this past few days. All the usual haunts plus some new ones too.

And this is fresh off the seatbelt blitz they just did.

I had to go to Port Colborne on Monday and counted at least 3 people pulled over just on the way there.

Watch your speed on Walkers Line north of Dundas to south of Derry Rd... they really are way up in the woods beaming radio signals at you. They are getting big numbers by sitting in the 50/60k zones. I already paid my taxes on April 30th, I will not be contributing (knock wood!) again thank you.

That's my bicycle route, haven't seen too many yet.

The real money is on Tremaine through the 60 and, as you mentioned, Walkers through the 50's.

You're guaranteed to see beaucoup smokies wherever someone kills themselves.

Hey...this is also part of my cycling loop in northern Burlington. Love going up and down the escarpment (esp. Rattlesnake point and Old Bell School line). Never ticketed for going faster than 60kph on a bike...yet. On weekends, more often than not there is a fair degree of police presence in the area (Cedar Springs, Guelph line, Walker's line, Appleby, Tremaine, Steeles, Derry, etc).
