just curious,

Are Boxster's / Convertibles allowed at track days?

I have tracked at Shannonville and TMP before on a motorcycle as well as done FAST 1,.... but never in a car. What percentage of Pcar owner's track their cars?

Yes, convertibles are allowed at our track days, and I believe also at the PCA DE's.
As far as a percentage of Pcar owners tracking their car, I have no idea. But if I had to guess, I would say 10% at the most.

The issue with convertibles is roll bars. Boxsters have integral roll bars - the hoops behind each seat, so they're fine for PCA. Older cabrios don't, and I believe aren't allowed, unless one has been installed. If I'm not mistaken, 997 cabrios have pop-up rollbars.

Arnaud's probably right at 10% - that might even be high. It's unfortunate, really, that the vast majority of Porsches out there will never be given a chance to reach even close to their potential.

I believe as per previous rennlist days that only vehicles of the porsche marque are allowed...check the classified section or you could run with apex on Monday
