I was at the GTG ( I'm rarely there, because I work nights) and saw and heard the car,
as well as how you negotiated; all great!

White is now avorite color, specially after reading about the RS America, which some can
now cost up to $300, 000; one of Porsche's decision for the color was to be able to spot
any trouble, like for example oil leaks, in the hard to see places.

It is interesting how a color can become part of "function" besides 'form".
Yeap, my next Porsche will be white.

Well Patrick - it sounds like you want to raid my garage! An even $50k and they're all yours! : )

Thanks all for the warm welcome to the 911 clan. Despite having owned and loved 944's for a long time - there really is something magical about the 911. No need to try and explain it - those with, get it.

Congrats, the car looks great. I had a 964 Turbo before and love the view from the windshield of the two headlight humps. I missed that when I went to the 993 and it's totally non-existent in the 997. If you're interested in modifying the car at all, talk to Greg Fordahl out of Washington. His 964's were blazing fast!

Congratulations. Great car. I am sure you will love the 964. Did you buy it locally? I see a number of 964's around and agree it would be great if we could co-ordinate to all attend the GTG the same week. Do you intend to do any mods or keep it stock?

It's a US car that was imported by a guy who then didn't want to take on the project. I got it from him.

Hmmm - stock, prolly not. It's already got an H&R full suspension kit and drilled rotors - so might as well do a full exhaust, chip and 3.8 conversion kit to it eh? : )

We'll see - first goal is get it all sorted out - it has a host of little issues.

Then we'll see what to do - but engine work is immenent - so I'll do SOMETHING fun with it for sure.

YES - let's get a 964 GTG soon!

Well - there's talk of just agreeing to just arrange to meet at the regular Toronto GTG - but its getting a bit crowded there - I'll start a fresh thread to arrange a one-off somewhere - see if we can get some sort of critical (dual) mass. : )

I'll make a x-post on the 964 board for any locals that don't venture to this board that often.

I think you mean Paul.

RK, how much "project" are you talking about? Hopefully you can at least enjoy it for the season, then do the work over the winter.

Clive, I have no designs on creating a seperate faction - but from a purely technical point of view - 964 and 993 types have a LOT in common with each other and very little in common with the 3.2 and earlier cars and nothing at all to do with the waterpumpers (996-997's).

So getting together to chat tech and discuss how we've solved specific issues - like the DMFW and those pesky CCU's - I think would be of great value.

We'll see if it gets any (AWD) traction. : )

Christian, it remains to be seen just how bad the engine is. It seems to be "healing itself" and leaking less and less - but it DOES have some strange noises.

Lots of other little issues - but I'm solving those quickly.

Nice pick up !!! The first thing you need to do is exhaust.......the 964s have a killer sound.
