Yup, I'm a diy'er. Currently doing a v8 swap in my 944 - completed full suspension, brakes, transaxle swap, torque tube, etc. All in a single car garage with about 1.5 ft on either side of the car, no air tools, and a stupid little electric heater that barely keeps temp above freezing.
Thankfully, it's spring so I can stop wearing a toque while I wrench.
It would be so choice to have a "real" garage to work in, with a lift, full-size shop equipment, etc!

We're moving out of our place here in early to mid-May. We'll store everything until July and then find a place there hoping to be in by early August. In the meantime - it's summer on the lake at our cottage in northern MI!

i might be interested in the shop idea too. at the moment i don't even have a garage or tools (i'm a newbie). Just a carport with no outlets or light to do any work.

I have a TON of tools to include an air compressor (220v) and air tools, an engine hoist and stand, and quite a few hand tools. I also have some 944 specific tools (flywheel lock, etc.). If a couple of people want to go in on a garage, I'm happy to make my stuff available.

I would be happy to go in on a Garage, but the sharing of resources and billing would be need to be well agreed upon and contracted to avoid potential dispute. For that reason I have been considering:

Nice!
I'd probably need at least the 10X24 to move around the car and store my tools. $40K + condo fees is a bit pricey!
