I need a set of 6 12-point flywheel bolts, 1972 915 tranny, part # 911-102-171-00-M153. I know I can order them from Pelican, but they'll take a week or 2 and the shipping/border charges are ridiculous. If anyone has a set please let me know. Prefer brand new, but used once is ok.

you think that price is ridiculous ? try Mantis ....
I go to Spanauer in Kitchener for all my Metric Hardware you would be amazed what they have. They are a manufacturer but have a little counter with catalogs on the counter to go through. They provide all the hardware for everyone around so I just go to them first.
They have web site but i find it to hard to negotiate.

I can't seem to access any of the pdfs on their site. Not sure why, pdfs on other sites work fine, but acrobat gives me an error message. I'll try later from another computer.

Why are the Dealers charging alot for these bolts, are they special in the sence that the heads are machined to allow clearance or something. Ooor its just that it is a p-car part.

The catalog is awesome. I have found all kinds of strange hardware for my car .. I even found a metric thread wingbolt for the electronics cover. Got all my new CV joint hardware there too including bellville washers to stop the cap screws backing out ... .

Well, I called them and they don't have M12 12-point bolts. They only carry up to M10. For f*#ks sake, these bolts are stupid.
There are several discussions about the idiocy of these bolts over on Pelican. Pelican's price is $13.50 each, so $81 for the set, plus shipping, taxes and exchange would be well north of $100. Apparently in 1977 they changed the bolt design, and those ones are $3 each and reusable.
NOBODY in southern Ontario carries these bolts that I can find. Brofasco, Spaneaur, Nut and Bolt Supply, NAPA, nobody. According to guys on Pelican, they're available at the regular big US hardware chain stores. Sometimes I hate living here. And it's not even like this is the boonies.
Anyway, Frank (911parts@sympatico) has a used set for $40 - I'll probably just go with those.

Yikes 40.00 for a used set of 6 bolts ? oh well. DId you try whale tail here in Kitchener ? Randy is closer and may be cheaper.
MArk when I say hardware I mean cap screws, washers etc. not the actual CV itself.
