Thanks for the tip Speedyellow993! You say 19" stinks because of the 11" wide at the back and/or because of the lower tire profile (more risky in potholes and so forth)?

I had The factory fitment 305's on the back of my 2009 C4S - the car sucked in the snow. Front and rear tires were way too wide for real snow. Get another set of wheels and use narrow snow tires, I'd say 195 front and 225 in back on 18 inch wheels. 19 inchers are too vulnerable to pot holes and are too wide to work in real snow.

19s are good for dry, cold and wet handling. They tend to sit on top of the snow and provide very poor traction

225 fronts on 18s

265 or 275 rears on 18s are ideal.

Dry handling will suffer a bit on the 265s.

Thanks for the advice Bob and Speedyellow! Really appreciated... I want the car to be sporty but also practical an usable in the snow... Will have to reconsider my wheel choice...

Hi Fellow Canadian Rennlisters. I'm considering a Cayenne in Sault St. Marie. Anybody in that area who is willing/able to check it out for me?
