The BBC aired this special the other day. I haven't had the chance to view it yet. But if others have the means to acquire (cough*torrent*cough) such overseas programming - it may be worth a watch.

Its called "The Money Programme - Fast Bucks: How Porsche Made Billions" and it aired on Thursday Jan 22nd.

"Over two days in October 2008, it was revealed that the luxury sports car
manufacturer Porsche was behind an audacious takeover bid for Volkswagen.

It has been alleged that Porsche manipulated the market, made a fortune
and ended up potentially taking over its rival. With the German authorities
investigating, The Money Programme's Max Flint travels to Germany to discover
one of the most amazing stories of the economic downturn. "

Well it was a fascinating little show. Basically a summary of how Porsche used derivatives and options to beat hedgefunds at their own game. Porsche made 1B euro profit on cars and over 6B euro on their trading strategies/takeover of VW in 2007/2008. Nice bit of telly for anyone who thinks they're Gordon Gecko.
