Sorry, gotta say it guys.
Are you driving F1 or something?
Get a pair of skate boarding shoes and you'll be fine.

The last time I skateboarded was when running shoes were made of canvas and had round patches on the ankles. Think Keds lol.

Actually Converse Chuck Taylor's aren't too bad for driving and toe/heel...I have several pairs and they do the job.

I agree. They make nice driving shoes. Besides, I could be wearing Alonso's racing shoes but it still will not make me a better driver.

Maybe but you'll look cool doing it.
As they say.. "dress for success".

Lightbulb For anyone still looking for driving shoes

I saw Porsche Design driving shoes on sale at The Shoe Company at the Markville Mall tonight. They have a great looking black high top version for $120 made of supple leather with a nice soft, grippy and pliable sole.

Same here... although I find if I haven't worn the hiking boots in a while I tend to over-blip the first few downshifts since I cant feel a thing through the damn things!

LOL... you must have small feet then...you know what they say about men with small feet.

Seriously guys, lets not promote the wrong idea here, I wouldn't want someone to drive off the road trying to H/T with improper footware.... them is expensive equipment u know.

Any shoes that you can drive in, you can heel and toe in, especially in the Porsche as the pedal placement is very good for the most part. I can heel and toe in my dress shoes, running shoes, light hiking boots etc. There is no time you shouldn't match revs on a downshift, so you need to be able to do it in whatever footwear you have on.
